Luke loves Sid the Science Kid and Super Why....every morning (well most mornings) we watch these two shows. Well, Luke plays and watches them pretty well. These shows have produced at least two benefits: 1 - I get my cup of coffee in halfway peace unless Cassidy is needing something too and 2 - Luke can recognize all alphabet letters (except V and D) on his puzzle. Pretty amazing for a two year old!!!

This month at school Luke is learning about friends. This week's verse was that Jesus has friends. So, I asked David who his friends are and he say with a sly grin, "Anne Macon". Then, I ask who else. Luke says with another sheepish smile, "Emma Jane". Anyone else? "Ava" with another smile. Anyone else? "William"
....So the question is is he going to be a ladies man or what?? :-)
This morning at breakfast Luke declared that he was going to give Daddy hugs when he got home! It made me so sad and happy...sad that he misses him so much and happy that he thought and said it all on his own.
Cassidy is growing and growing. She is almost crawling, but still scooting backwards. She loves bread and plain cereal. I have been able to sneak the meat in her oatmeal. It is quite yummy (not). She has surprised me multiple time by sitting up in her bed as well as in the den (from laying down).
This is one of her toys that she enjoys, but her favorites are simple hand held items like straws, pens, Luke's trains and a hand clapper.
At meal time, she has quite the mind of her own. If she has decided she needs a break or wants something to drink. She bows her head down and won't take anything until you figure out what it is she wants. She also doesn't 'help' feed herself. She keeps her hands out to the side and opens her mouth like a birdie.
