Luke's Day - party and artist

Today at Wee School, Luke had his first 'Fall' party. Myself and another mom were in charge of it. So, we had the kids make edible spiders (two ritz crackers filled with peanut butter and some on top, pretzel sticks as the legs with raisin eyes and sprinkles for the mouth). They enjoyed making them and eating them. Luke was the only one who ate the whole spider.

After making and eating the spiders, we had them in a circle and played the typical games (ring around the rosies, follow the leader (kinda like simon says), and make the animal sounds of your favorite. I wish I had taken more pictures, but keeping these kids under control (even for the quick 30 minutes) can be quite challenging.

It was fun to see the kids interact and show off their personalities! There are four boys and four girls which makes for a good combination. Luke tends to talk about the girls in class!! Although, he was started talking about William and playing planes more often now. :-) Miss Laura and Miss Lisa are phenomenal teachers...love them.

At school each day, they come home with a craft. For October, the theme was orange, fall or halloween focused. We have started hanging them on the window for display. The ones here are not every piece of art, but some of them. Luke and Dillon were doing stickers this afternoon and sharing quite well (so I had to take a picture of the moment). When I say sharing, I mean they were sharing stickers and the same sheet of paper!! WoW.

Dillon was being quite the ham whereas Luke had to receive bribery to look at the camera (a marshmallow)....however, both boys used the potty later and got an m&m!! Yahoo.

The party looks like fun.

Yay for using the potty and sharing. They are growing up too fast!
