Okay, so I didn't get a picture of it, because I was too 'scared' that David was going to have a heart attack. I was all about solving the problem.
While I was fixing lunch in the kitchen, Luke and Cassidy were playing in the den. When I realized it was way too quiet. I popped my head in and immediately got this guilty grin (from Luke). Low and behold, he and his sister had been coloring with a blue sharpie. So, I immediately took the pen from Luke and the cap from Cassidy (with many screams). Investigated the damage. My first thought it wasn't so bad: the magna doodler, the telephone, my computer and a plastic hammer. I can live with these.
We proceeded to have lunch. I asked Luke what we are suppose to color on and he said paper....
After lunch, he, Cassidy and Dillon were watching one ten minute episode of WordWorld. As soon as the tv came on, I SAW IT. Four lines on David's new big screen TV (he waited at least two years for this television). My heart sank. I asked Luke why did you color on the television. He said, "I colored on the television". That was a big help.
Remaining calm, I put the kids to bed. Then, I cleaned the kitchen, swept, and mopped. Then, I vacuumed the den and steam cleaned the carpet (where Buddy had thrown up the previous day). So, now I really have to face the sharpie ink.
I opened up my handy computer. With many pages of research, I tried rubbing alcohol (at least 70%). It came off....PRAISE GOD. I can now get on with the rest of my to do's during nap.
...please let me know if you have any tried and true stain removers from carpet, fabric, or walls.....

Removing stains? Ha! You've seen my carpet. But, you totally could have called me about the sharpie!
OK, I cracked up reading this story because the sharpie totally would have been a disaster I was part of! I guess I just do the vaseline messes. Glad it all came off.
Awesome! I have no recommendations, of course. Just enjoying the story. I have no doubt that with two boys, I'll have plenty of my own messy adventures through the years.
I enjoyed catching up with you today. ;-) Looks like Luke had a fabulous year - they're both getting so big! I guess that happens. You and David look fabulous too. I'm glad you're all happy and well. XOXO
Yikes! I would be terrified of what Alex would do if that happened to his TV too! I know from experience that Mr Clean magic eraser gets sharpie, marker, makeup, and crayon off walls though.
